The large 65cm rib "Peach drop" is a strong, wind-resistant, all-round folding umbrella that is super water-repellent and wind-resistant. "Peach drop" is made of a super water-repellent material with a slightly brushed surface that instantly sheds water droplets, just like the skin of a peach, which sheds water droplets. "Super water-repellent" is generally said to be "the phenomenon in which water droplets come into contact with a surface at a contact angle of approximately 150°." "Peach drop" has a measured contact angle of 153°, and the water-repellent power of the fabric keeps the surface tension of water droplets like balls.
Another feature is that its water-repellent performance lasts a long time. In a water-repellent test conducted by a testing institute, the water-repellency was measured as Grade 5, the highest rank, before washing. It maintained Grade 4 after 40 washes, and maintained Grade 3 water-repellency even after 50 washes. After 50 washes, the fabric was treated with hot air and re-tested, and the water-repellency was restored to the same level as after 5 washes. Even after the water-repellent properties have decreased, the function can be restored by applying heat, allowing the fabric to be used for a long time while maintaining its water-repellent properties.
The ribs are made of thick, durable, and flexible fiberglass, allowing it to easily deflect wind. The 8-rib structure and large 65cm size provide excellent protection from wind and rain (tested for wind speeds of 12m/s). The case has a zipper on the side, making it easy to store and carry.
