This product is made by baking tin onto a high-purity copper plate. Before use, fill the pot to about 70% oil (used oil is fine) and simmer over low heat for a few minutes until the oil is fully absorbed. After simmering, impurities will float to the surface; be sure to discard the oil. -Caution- If you incorrectly use the pot over high heat by simply adding oil, the pot will be left empty, causing the tin on the surface to melt and discolor, or resulting in burnt eggs. *During use, the wooden handle may dry out and become loose from the metal handle. If this occurs, please re-attach the wooden handle. The egg frying pan will darken over time. This is due to the oil being fully absorbed, so we recommend using it without detergent. Enjoy your cooking with this pot for years to come.
