As proof of his supervision, the bottom of the statue is stamped with the red seal of Hokari Koudou. This is a masterpiece carved from a single piece of wood.

◆Special points of the Buddha statue supervised by the great Buddhist sculptor Hokari Koudou◆
<A peaceful and gentle face>
The Buddha's peaceful, warm and gentle gaze gives you a sense of relief.
Furthermore, her beautiful, slender eyebrows and long, narrow eyes, like those of a new moon, give off a sense of noble dignity.
The mudra (inso) of the Shaka Nyorai statue is the meditation mudra (jozen'in), which is the appearance that Buddha had when he attained enlightenment.
<Halo representing the Buddha’s halo>
The Buddha radiates a ray of light from his body and is always surrounded by light.
This light is expressed by the halo, and the halo of the Shaka Nyorai statue is arabesque.
Because the arabesque halo stretches endlessly in all directions, it is considered to be very auspicious as a sign of longevity and prosperity of descendants.
The beautiful and dynamic halo is a masterpiece that highlights the craftsmanship of the artist.
<A pedestal that highlights the craftsmanship of the master>
The pedestal of the Buddha statue is a lotus seat, which is carved with a lotus flower in full bloom.
The lotus flower, which grows out of muddy water and blossoms into a beautiful, pure flower, is considered a symbol of Buddha's wisdom and compassion.
In order to express the curled-back appearance of the petals (hanbana), a technique called "fukirenga" is used to carefully attach each petal one by one to create a beautiful, three-dimensional base.
