This is the HK Model "1/32 Avro Lancaster B Mk.1" plastic model kit.

Early production Lancaster Mk.1s were equipped with Merlin XX engines.
As production progressed, the engine was upgraded to Merlin 22 and Merlin 24.
Furthermore, in anticipation of a supply shortage of Merlin engines due to the large number of orders, production of the Mk.2, equipped with a Bristol Hercules air-cooled 18-cylinder radial engine, was also considered.
However, with the United States entering the war, licensed-built Packard Merlin engines became available in large quantities, and production of the Mk.2 ended after 300 aircraft.
Aircraft equipped with licensed Merlin engines were designated the Mk.3.
This is a plastic model kit that requires assembly and painting.
