Three 1/64 scale AUTOart models are available from the popular comic "Wangan Midnight," featuring the S30Z driven by protagonist Akio Asakura, nicknamed the "Devil's Z," as he battles the Shuto Expressway.
The models recreate the "Devil's Z" as seen in Volume 1 of the comic, as well as Volume 4, when the car is resurrected after being wrecked and burned on the Wangan coast. They also feature the Porsche 911 (930) Turbo, nicknamed the "Blackbird," driven by rival Tatsuya Shima, who fought a fateful battle with the Z.
Based on extensive research into the comic, even the smallest details have been faithfully recreated, including each car's unique aero parts, wide wheels and tires, roll cage, bucket seat, comic-style license plate, and the presence or absence of headlight covers.
